Our seventeenth floor showroom in New York City's preeminent Decoration & Design Building – the D&D Building at 979 Third Avenue – provides a sophisticated venue for viewing our textile collection as well as the fine lines we represent.
Created in New York by artisans living with HIV, The Alpha Workshops' award winning hand-blocked "Painted Papers" collection has grown to include more than 20 designs. With various combinations of stamping and paint techniques, these wallpapers are unique explorations of color and pattern that are at home in both traditional and contemporary interiors. Within the Pollack textile line, "The Alpha Workshops Collection" are designs inspired by original artworks commissioned from Alpha's studio. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of these fabrics goes to benefit The Alpha Workshops.
Creating beautiful fabrics that meet the exacting performance standards of the contract market has motivated Iris Wang, Brentano's founder, to design textiles that claim a wide following among both contract and residential designers. These woven patterns for upholstery and windows, inspired in many ways by Iris's Asian heritage, reflect a commitment to timeless designs and a painterly approach to color.
Known as the premier source for contemporary lighting, several of which are in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art, these made-to-order luminaries boast metal components that are impeccably assembled and polished by hand. Classic styling extends also to the line of occasional tables that combine stone, marble and granite surfaces with the cool sophistication of metal.
The original hand-woven natural fiber shade company, Conrad superbly crafts window coverings that showcase the exquisite beauty of exotic sustainable fibers from Korea, Indonesia and Japan. Simple, elegant and individually woven to customer specifications, the roman shades, panels and newly introduced draperies transform interior landscapes with materials from the natural one.
Designed and manufactured in Switzerland, this extensive line of upholstery and window fabrics reflects the best of contemporary European aesthetics and technology. Innovative materials and processes impart a vibrant appeal to these fabrics, mirrored in the exuberance of their pattern, scale and color.
A boutique line of textiles, Joseph Noble is well recognized as a great source for great essentials - the sumptuous mohair or cotton velvet, the beautifully colored ultrasuede, the unique faux leather. They define, along with a mix of traditional and modern woven motifs, an inspiring range of contemporary classics for the contract and residential markets.
PLACE Textiles combines Kristie Strasen's finely honed and calibrated color system with an emphasis on texture and durable luxury in expertly woven fabrics from around the world. Varied and distant places also figure as the inspiration for "Sense of Place" and "The California Collection" which comprise textures and patterns in over 150 rich surfaces and inspired colors.
Highly regarded for its collection of Asian silks, Stratum's textiles interpret a rich sampling of ethnic influences through fine yarns and weaving techniques, evocative earth tones and enduring designs. The historic and the modern merge successfully in these high-quality fabrics, which also include wonderful linens and chenilles.
Celebrated first as an Interior Designer, than as a furniture designer, it was inevitable that Victoria Hagan would launch this lovely line of printed and solid linens and cottons. Washed with fresh, clear colors, the crisp graphics of these geometric and nature-inspired designs enliven interiors with a welcome grace and charm.
